KC (from KC and the Sunshine Band) performed. It started getting long. I mean how long can you drag out "Boogie Man", really? We thought it would be worth the wait for the fireworks. Wrong! I swear there was a malfunction. The grand finale was a big boom and a lot of smoke. I checked the paper and news stations for an update, but no one ever owned up to the "oops".
